July 4th

Since July 4th was on a Sunday we got to celebrate the whole weekend! We love that we can see the fireworks from our driveway. Even better though is that Brad can go to bed and we can watch the fireworks in peace! I love this picture - it looks like there is a fire in the background!
Another cute one!

On July 5th our ward had a pancake breakfast where we FROZE! It was cold and drippy but still fun. Mac didn't want his bike decorated but he sped around like Mad Mac having fun with the kids.

The kids sang a song at the program. Super cute! Anna hopes to be in Utah for the fourth next year so we are keeping our fingers crossed!

St. George 2010

St. George was a blast this year! It always seems to go by so fast even though you think you are going to be there for a long time. We had so much fun and enjoyed spending time with family. A family picture on Father's Day and my birthday. McKay had a Father's Day nap every day we were on our vacation. He willingly took nap duty with Brad so I could be out swimming or hanging out with the family. Good thing these kinds of pictures are in style, ya know... the ones where not everyone is looking at the camera. Perfect for our family.

Brad was banned from playing in the sand because he threw it at everyone. Everyone would scream when they saw him coming!

They did dig some pretty good holes!
We celebrated my birthday on Monday since it was on the same day as Father's Day. We went out to this cute little cafe on Main Street where they had cupcakes for dessert. Cupcakes are so in style right now. It was a nice break, even though we were asked several times before we left how long we were going to be gone.

We played a couple of fun games of wiffle ball, duck, duck, goose, and swimming. The kids are non stop energy! I was exhausted by the end of every day.

Pizza fun.

Tarzan was great!
Big shout out to my sister-in-law who put in lots of time making these collages and I just took them from her blog. Thanks Rach - you are the best!

Pizza and Tarzan

We loved Tarzan! I was a little worried about Brad but he actually did great. We had front row seats so he was close to the action. There was a lot of singing and dancing. A highlight for the kids is the snow cones and frozen lemonades at intermission. They are all excited for them in the beginning then McKay and I end up finishing them off.

The girls all did their hair in braids for the show. This was the best picture I could get. :)

Water Fun

Even though it is really hot outside the water is still cold. But it does feel good! Carly and Anna took a few minutes to brave the fountain but eventually they did it!

Trying to get a picture with Brad

I had to post this to show how hard it was to get Brad to sit in the picture.

All he really wanted to do was stand, not sit.

Ahh, if only we could read his mind life would be a lot easier!

Swimmin'

It was fun swimming because it was 90+ degrees outside! Mac loved floating around in his star that was bought for Brad.
Brad loved floating around in the boat that was meant for Mac.

Anna and Carly are getting to be excellent swimmers! They really enjoy swimming!

St. George Water Park

We had a great time in St. George! It was such a fun vacation. I even took a little vacation taking pictures so I don't have many pictures but I sure did enjoy NOT taking them. I know, it sounds crazy but it was relaxing not snapping pictures every five minutes. Luckily I have a sister-in-law who takes great pictures so I will probably steal some of hers!

When I ask Mac to smile this is what he does!

Brad isn't sunburned he is just really hot!

A fun way to cool off!

JeTTA

Anna and Carly had a fun time doing the "Journey Through the Arts" camp at the Methodist Church (VBS.) This year the theme was Day at the Zoo. They learned lots of fun songs and did a little performance at the end for the parents. I was clear in the back so these pictures aren't the greatest but at least we will remember it!

The Last Day of School

I always have mixed feelings on the last day of school. I am sad because my kids are growing up so fast and happy because it marks the start of summer fun. It was a GREAT year and the kids learned so much. We are really proud of them! Carly with her teacher aid Mrs. Ramey.
Carly and Mrs. New. Loved, loved her.

Carly and her good friend Marina at their spot on the rug. Carly was very excited because the last week of school they could sit wherever they wanted.

Her class. Kindergarten in the BEST! They learn so much and have sooo much fun. It will be three years before we get to do Kindergarten again. Here we come 1st and 2nd grade!

Second Grade Field Day

One of the perks of being in a combo class is getting to do the other grades activities. So 15 first graders felt totally awesome the day before school got out because they got to go to the second grade field day. They made their shirts a few days before and played in lots of games at the park.

Anna loved the whole day and is excited she will get to do it again next year!
