Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a smashing success this year. The kids were a little bummed it was on a Sunday but by the time Sunday came they were so tuckered out from all of the Halloween activities they didn't say one thing about trick-or-treating. Carly was Elphaba.
Anna was just a witch with orange hair.

Anna with her friend Caitlyn at the school parade.

Mac was Jack Sparrow. You had to call him Jack Sparrow too, while in costume he was only Jack Sparrow. He has no idea who Jack Sparrow is except he is a pirate. Brad was a golfer. Brad quickly caught on to the whole candy thing and was hesitant to put any of it in his bag. He tried holding all of it in his hands. The kids all scored big time at the stake trunk-or-treat. Mac did not want to carry his pumpkin by the end because it was hurting his arm.

McKay told people that this is what happens to your teeth if you eat to much candy. The comb-over wig was just for fun. He had lots of people who didn't recognize him. I don't think I was the only mom who was secretly excited Halloween was on a Sunday. I was pooped!

Pete's Pumpkin Patch

We had a super fun time at Pete's Pumpkin Patch. I love it because it is free! You just have to buy the pumpkins! Plus it is in Camarillo. Sorry to say I am over pumpkin patches that you have to pay for. We had so much fun for free. It was a little muddy but that just added to the adventure. Plus we got Rachel to come with us and she is tons of fun.

Brad was cracking us all up because he wouldn't stop hugging all the pumpkins! He loved all the 'balls!' The ones he could reach he would lay on and hug. So cute.
By the grace of heaven Mac and Brad were asleep for the pumpkin carving. We passed a huge milestone this year though: Anna and Carly carved their own pumpkins! They were so excited! The finished product. Mac just wanted his pumpkin to have an 'M' on it. No face just an 'M.' I love his personality.

Brad's First Haircut

Brad finally had to have a haircut. He was excited at first but he was over the excitement fast. It was definitely a two person job. McKay finally had to stop even though he admitted it was definitely not done. Brad was estatic for it to be over.

He kept looking at me like "save me from this!"

Giving the camerawoman a dirty look always makes you feel better.
We waited until the next day to take "after" pictures when he was clearly much happier.

Carly's Art Show

Carly had a great art show at school and showed off her new talents as an artist. Her self portrait.
Monet's impressionism.

Her Picasso.

With her teacher Mrs. Davis.

Her Joan Miro. Of course everyone was most excited for the treats, which were served after the art show.

Jog-a-thon "Let's Move"

The kids had lots of fun this year at their jog-a-thon. The theme was "Let's Move." They did a great job!

Mac wanted to run his own jog-a-thon.
