Daddy Daughter Date - Golf n Stuff

On Saturday September 15, 2007 Carly got her turn going on a Daddy Daughter Date. She chose to go miniature golfing (Dad and Carly both wore their green golf shirts) and then to lunch at Chick Fil A. Dad also managed to stop by a few other stores for some errands so all in all we had a nice 5 hours together and made fun memories that will last forever.
Carly gets a bit bored with the golfing after about 5 holes unless the hole has something exciting like a castle to hit the ball up in. Needless to say we made our own trail around the course picking the holes we wanted to play and then returning back to our favorites. Carly was done before Dad was but at $8.75 per round Dad just felt like they needed to get a few more holes in so as to not leave feeling cheated.
We really did have a lot of fun! McKay is so glad that he gets to be the Dad and go on fun dates with his girls. It is an even bigger bonus that they enjoy going!

The Mac Man

Mac is growing up quickly. He is learning to smile so we wanted to share some pictures. Anna and Carly love to hold him so I am including a picture of Carly holding him. We see this on the couch or rocking chair all throughout the day at our house. What wonderful blessings!!

The Burrito Wrap

Anna and Carly have always thought it is so funny how little babies get wrapped up tight like a burrito. When Carly was a baby we took a picture similar to this one with Anna, Carly, and Anna's baby. The girls love looking through old picture books and this is one of their favorite pictures. They really wanted to have one of these pictures with their babies and with Mac. Here it is. If you wonder what things are like at the Barlow House we spend time doing silly things like wrapping up all the children and their babies for silly pictures.

Garrett and Leanne's Wedding

These family pictures are from Garrett and Leanne's reception back on June 1st but since we were not "bloggers" back then we thought we would just add them now. I am sure Rachel will be happy with me distributing more pictures of her at 8 months pregnant.

These were all taken on the front steps of the historic Camarillo House.

BYU vs UCLA - Daddy Daughter Date

Just arriving at the big game! It was fun to be there arriving as a father on a date with my precious little daughter first and as a fan second. It helps to keep everything in perspective.

WE ARE IN OUR SEATS!!

McKade Sampson, Anna Barlow, and Mitchell Sampson all expecting lots of Touchdowns at the big game! (This was Mitchell's 7th birthday and he said it was the best birthday ever)

Carly's Birthday

We had a lot of fun on Carly's Birthday! She had three different parties so she was feeling quite special. This is when we all went down to the day game (Dodgers) together. Mac loved his first Dodger baseball experience! We didn't make it for all the extra innings of the game but we saw all but one run live and we saw that winning run when we got home on the TV.

One of many presents Carly got for her 3rd Birthday! Thanks to everyone.

Football Season

I am stoked!!! Football is here and I am ready to go.

The Cougs dominated Arizona in week one and Anna and I are looking forward to our Daddy/daughter date to the UCLA game this week. Here is the link to one of my favorite sites, especially during football season - Cougarfan.com. (link) This gives you place to get all the articles you could want to read each day.
I think we are going to be hearing a lot of this - this year. The Cougars Score!!!! Click here to listen - Fight Song!

Enjoy Everyone!!

Weekend Project

So you may or may not of heard about the drama of our garage. I will give you the short version of the story - McKay makes a bonehead mistake and leaves our freezer that is full of food including lots of meat unplugged in the garage while we are out of town for a week and we return to a huge mess. Not only was the mess very gross, but it was so stinky we had to clean out the whole garage but even with all the scrubbing the smell would not leave. Finally we had to concede to make a big decision. This was our big decision Rust Oleum. (link) It was one of those funny things were we always have wanted the "cool" garage floor but we couldn't justify the cost. Now we justified it and we love the floor. The best part is OUR GARAGE NO LONGER STINKS.

Yes I was was feeling like a tough guy as I moved everything out our garage twice within about ten days. Rachel was loving having half our garage in her living room for three days too. I was very lucky and my friends Luis and Marcelino helped me with the labor on the actual painting side of things so it wasn't too bad.
