Blueberry Pickin'

We went to a local farm and picked blueberries today. It was really fun! We even got to take a tractor ride to the blueberry patch.
The bushes were FULL of blueberries. Anna was very selective of what blueberries she was going to put in her basket. Carly didn't care so much.

We picked over two pounds of blueberries in about 30 minutes. Anna asked if we could do this all the time - it was so fun. They were $3.25/lb - a little higher than the 25 cents I used to get paid picking raspberries growing up!

Fathers and Sons = Girl's Night

We got to have a girl's night with Aunt Rachel since McKay took Mac to his first Fathers and Sons outing. Rachel gave the girls a pedicure and we watched Princess Diaries 2. We ate popcorn and fruit pizza. It was super fun. The girls are already planning our girl's night next year.

Here is Mac and McKay at their first Fathers and Sons. They had a great time socializing and came home about 8:30 so Mac could go to bed. McKay thought that part was great - he only has a couple more years until he will be sleeping over night. :)

HEAVEN on Earth

Today was honestly one of the best days of my life! I got lucky and had my house professionally cleaned. Lest you get too jealous let me explain something first: McKay had done some computer work for a contractor they work with and so he repayed us by cleaning our house with his wife! She owns a cleaning company and he cleans windows professionally. Words can not describe my overwhelming joy at the feeling of not having to worry about cleaning my house this week! Since having children I don't have the chance to clean my house all at once. I try to do some cleaning each day, but that sometimes bothers me because the whole house isn't clean at the same time! Well today it was! We even went to In-N-Out tonight for dinner so that we didn't mess up the kitchen. Anna had a slight heart attack when her Polly Pocket wasn't EXACTLY where she left it, but other than that everything was perfect. Hopefully they will need a lot of computer work done in the future so that this isn't a once in a lifetime experience. But even if it is - IT WAS TOTALLY WONDERFUL! And I will never, ever forget this! Thanks hon!!!

10 months!

Mac is now the big 10! And I must say it has been a near perfect 10 months. He is such a sweet baby. He is sooo busy now. Crawling and climbing everywhere. He has 5 teeth and more are coming; hence, the bib that must be worn at all times or his clothes would be soaking wet. I don't love the bib look but it is very practical. I can already tell he is into more boy toys like driving his little cars on the hard floor. So cute! And playing in the toilet - not so cute. My girls never showed any interest at all in the toilet but Mac would play in there every chance he got! We feel so lucky to have him in our family. We love you Mac Man.

Busted

We have our first broken bone - we aren't surprised that it is our little Climber Carly. Carly broke her wrist last night. Anna was the only eyewitness so we aren't exactly sure how it happened but she somehow fell off the top of the slide in our backyard on to the cement. She was probably trying to do some acrobatic move. We kept asking Anna different questions about what happened and she was almost in tears trying to answer us. Carly couldn't even talk she was crying to hard! We think she must have landed on her wrist because the doctor called it a 'compression fracture.' She was crying hysterically after it happened (which isn't totally abnormal) so we thought she hurt it pretty bad. She woke up in the middle of the night as well complaining that it hurt. She wouldn't use it at all this morning so we decided we better take her in to get it checked out. So far she has been a great sport about it, although she has already asked me if she could take it off. She has to have it on for almost a month. It is a removable cast that she can take off for a bath. The doctor said this kind is better because you can clean the skin and the risk of infection is low. Somehow I don't think this will be Carly's only broken bone. Uncle Brock calls her the monkey, I would say the name fits perfectly.

We are lucky enough to have a brother-in-law who is profresh at taking photos so we took advantage while we were in Utah. The last family pic we had taken was when Carly was like 8 months old! McKay was totally bummed he had to shave his 'awesome' goat but lucky for him it will be back in a day or so.

Time with Grandparents

One of the best things about going to Utah is visiting with Grandparents. They are such special people and we love to visit with them and see them. Mac, McKay and Grandma Clayton.

Golf, Golf, and more Golf

McKay was in golf heaven in Utah! He golfed over 60 holes of golf while we were there. I was hoping he would 'get it out of his system' a little but unfortunately the opposite happened: he wants to go more! The kids had fun golfing in Grandpa's backyard. It is fun to have a backyard that is big enough to golf in. Carly looking stylish holding her clubs. She is definitely more of a hacker. She just starts swinging away!

Anna has a little more patience with golf. She will position herself and get ready before swinging. I am sure it comes with her being a little older as well.

Dinosaur Park

Anna and Carly LOVE the dinosaur park in Ogden. It is actually pretty cool. Carly likes to remind us that the dinosaurs are just pretend - even though they look real. We got to go with our cousins Tate and Sydney and with Grandma Thompsen and Aunt Rachel.
Notice Anna's rolled up pants - she was 'sweaty.' It was over 80 degrees this day! We didn't bring enough cool clothes. The dinosaur laying on the ground behind them has blood on him (just killed by T-Rex), that is the kids favorite part.

Go Go Go Joseph!

We we lucky enough to be able to go see the play 'Joseph' put on by the TO Stake. It was AMAZING! Carly couldn't sit down she was dancing through the whole play. Now the girls love to listen to the CD (before they would moan if I tried to put it on.) Here with Joseph himself.
