Jack and the Beanstalk

Carly's class put on the play Jack and the Beanstalk. It was super cute! Carly was a goose (her first choice.) She got to do a fun dance and sing a song. She had the entire classes lines and songs memorized. They helped make the beanstalk and did most of the scenery.

It was an awesome year in first grade. This play was just the frosting on the cake. It was one of her favorite parts of first grade.

Mother's Day Cake

Anna came home from Activity Days with this adorable cake she decorated herself! Such a cute and yummy surprise. It was for Mother's Day and they put them on gold plates to show that mothers are awesome!

Thanks Anna! Let's hope they plan this activity again.

Blueberry Pickin' Again

Blueberry picking is definitely one of our favorite activities in the summer! We love it! We picked about 5 pounds of blueberries in an hour. I thought I would have to freeze some of them but we ate every single one! We enjoyed blueberry pancakes, muffins and our favorite... cheesecake!

Brad picked a lot of blueberries but he ate as he went! Only a couple ended up in his basket. He could not help himself they were so yummy.

Till next year!

Mac's Preschool Graduation

Our sweet Mac graduated from his first year of preschool. He had such a fun year at Mrs. Kathleen's preschool. He loved being with Lily, Maddi, Ashby and Roman. The five of them loved to play with each other and fit so well together. They loved to talk and play imaginary play games together. He is really going to miss it. He learned all of his alpha friends and is mastering writing his name. Good job Mac!

Dance Recital

The girls each took two dance classes this year. Jazz/ballet and hip hop. They had lots of fun and learned lots of cool moves. They did a great job at their performance.
The hip hop costume.

After the recital in their jazz costumes.

With their friend Brooklynn after the performance. They did such a great job! We were so proud of them and all of their hard work. Way to go gals!

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

We were so lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa Thompsen come and see us! They timed it just perfectly to see one of Anna's piano recitals (she played three songs and did wonderful!) and the girl's dance recital. We love it when they come. We had lots of fun playing UNO, going to the farmers market, shopping, watching the girls perform, and eating of course!

Anna took this picture of Grandpa. :) Thanks for coming. Sorry we don't have better pictures. We are too busy having fun.

Our youth had a fundraiser and took family portraits to earn money for their activities this summer. We were super excited and ended up with some great shots. Thanks so much to the photographers who donated their time!

Santa Monica Chapel

There was a funeral service for Grandma Jex at the Santa Monica chapel where she attended church for many years of her life. The chapel is really unique and special. Corrine showed them the secret passageways and little doors that opened up like this one above the gym.

Todd being funny. They loved the meetinghouse. They played primary for almost two hours. Singing songs and talking in the microphone. Why is it so fun to talk in the microphone when you are a kid?

BYU Women's Conference

April was such a fun/busy month but one of the highlights was definitely BYU Women's Conference. I got to fly down by myself and spend two days with my sister Angie, cousin Shae, and my Mom. We had lots of fun going to classes, eating, shopping, eating, sleeping (?), and eating. It was a little frigid but nothing to complain about. I loved every minute of it. Melinda was on the Conference Committee and she and Corrine were both speakers. It was so fun to see Melinda on the stand and to hear her and Corrine speak. They both did amazing. Lots of women from my ward were there so it was fun to see lots of familiar faces. We also got to see the Carl Bloch exhibit at the Museam of Art. Another highlight for sure... along with the citrus salad I ate at the MOA cafe. Also amazing. And the mint brownies. Amazing. Lots of amazing experiences can you tell? Thanks to my mom for arranging it all and for the financing. :)

Easter Egg Hunt

We had an Easter Egg Hunt at my Grandma McAllister's Easter afternoon. The kids were really excited - obviously. They let the little kids start first and Mac totally capitalized on that. He ended up being one of the top egg collectors. :)

All of the Thompsen grandkids.
