Soccer!

Anna and Mac both played soccer this year for the first time.  It was a great season!  McKay coached Mac's team and they had lots of fun.  Anna's team did great and she did awesome for her first year.  She liked playing defense the most and excelled at it.  Anna's team made it to championship day and took third place in their division.  Mac loved defense too.  He especially loved that he got a trophy at the end.  I think we are going to have all four kids in next year!  

Disneyland in October

We started out at California Adventure.  McKay waited for about 45 minutes to get a fastpass for the Radiator Springs Racers.  We met him at Midway Mania - one of our families favorite rides.  We then went back to Disneyland and then came back to CA because our fastpasses weren't valid until 8:20pm!  Crazy what we do to go on rides!
 

 

The boys wanted to wait to meet Tigger - we have never waited to meet characters before.  They were a little shy at first but eventually got close enough for a picture.

Mac and Brad love the Winnie the Pooh ride.  Mostly because it means they don't have to go on Splash Mountain. 

Another thing we did this time was visit Tom Sawyer Island.  Everyone loved being able to run around and play - it was a great way to break up the tedium of standing and waiting in line all day.

 

 

 

 

Eventually we made it back to Radiator Springs!  We were super exhausted at this point so it was our last ride of the day.  It was fun to go on the ride at night.  It is a very cool ride but I think we are done planning our whole day around it.  This was our first time at Disneyland we had a little bit of rain.  Not too much though.  Carly, Anna, and McKay took the panchos on Grizzly River Run but Carly's pants were still soaked.  Luckily she was able to wear Mac's shorts we brought in case he was too hot in pants.  They were good sports about getting wet but it was a little chilly - I think we are done with the Grizzly River Run until it gets wramer.  Till next time!

Jog-a-thon; Go for the Gold!

It was another great Jog-a-Thon!  The kids love getting their new T-shirts and running around the track.  We had sooo much fun watching the Olympics in London this summer.  Every night we would stay up way too late and watch it.  The Gold Jog-a-thon theme was a perfect fit!

 

 

 

 

Brad loved spraying everyone with water.  After 5 years of JAT's we FINALLY remembered the spray bottle! 

First Day of Preschool!

Brad and Mac finally started preschool!  They have been ready for awhile now since Anna and Carly started a month ago.  They love preschool and decided to dress the same on the first day all by themselves.
 

Can't believe my baby is in preschool!  He is so grown up.  His favorite thing is snack time and outdoor play.  He especially loves when they get gogurts for snack.

Mac likes that he sits on the green row.  He does NOT like snack (very strange I know) but likes outdoor play.  They are having a great year!

We weren't able to make soccer pictures (they are on Sunday) so we took a quick team picture after Mac's game.

First Day of School!

School started a little later this year.  We loved getting a little more summer!  The kids were excited and both got great teachers.

Carly's Party

After Carly's baptism we had a BBQ/party at our house.  All the girls brought their dolls and the girls were in heaven!

Carly's Baptism

We had a great day at Carly's baptism.  She had been looking forward to this day for a long time.  She looked so cute and was so lucky to have her dad baptize her.
 

McKay also baptized Abigail Williams.  Carly and Abigail are in the same primary class.

Corrine made Carly's baptism dress!  She is super talented and Carly loved going with her to pick out her fabric and pattern. 

Grandpa and Grandma Thompsen came from Utah to see her get baptized.  We had such a fun weekend with them!

The girls had the best time playing with Sydney all weekend.  They played dolls, dolls, and more dolls! 

 

 

We are so proud of you Carly!  You made a great choice and you are on the right path the happiness!
