Happy Birthday McKay!

For McKay's birthday this year He and I went down to the temple in the afternoon then went to get Tito's Tacos.  We came back to Camarillo and took the kids to Stonefire Grill and had another yummy meal!  McKay loves to eat out so this was a perfect way to spend his birthday.  I was also able to surprise him with a new pocket projector.  I don't really ever surprise him, especially with technology related items, so this was a big deal!

January Golf

Grandma and Grandpa Thompsen came for a visit in January and McKay and Grandpa made sure to have time to hit the golf course.

Christmas Day

Our kids have never been ones to wake up early on Christmas morning.  Anna woke up at 6:30, Carly was next then Mac.  Finally around 8 we let them wake up Brad.  We had lots of fun hanging out together and opening presents.   

 

These didn't stay on good so they went back to the store (luckily Santa left the receipt.  Phew!)  However, they were sure cute.  Mac and Brad are WAY into Star Wars right now.  They both had been asking for Light Sabers for Christmas.  They are pretty cool.  We had started watching all six Star Wars Episodes over Christmas Break.  We even watched one on Christmas Day.  Mac also got a new soccer ball and some more Star Wars guys.  Brad got some new Star Wars guys, and a baseball T.

 

 

One of Carly and Anna's gifts was the American Girl Salon Chair and hair care kit.  They love doing hair and are becoming quite expert.  They make cute how-to videos.  They also got some cute new clothes, shoes, and new bedding for their beds. 

 

We had a yummy breakfast of all-you-can-eat cinnamon rolls, bacon, eggs, apple juice, orange juice, sugar cereal, and NO fruit.  We eat fresh fruit every morning so all the kids were excited we didn't have any fruit for breakfast.  It was a great morning.  We went over to Grandma and Grandpa Barlows later that night and enjoyed a Cafe Rio style meal and more gifts and fun times.  

Christmas Eve Jammies

The kids kept asking and asking if they were getting new PJs this year.  I kept trying to confuse and trick them but let's get real, they knew they were getting new PJ's!  We had dinner at Grandma Barlow's and got to Skype with Rachel in Russia.
 

 

 

There isn't anything like going to bed on Christmas Eve in new jams!  The anticipation begins!

Disneyland in December

This was our final hurrah with our season passes at Disneyland.  We were a little sad but we definitely got our full use out of them going 12 times during the year!  We got an extra special treat by running into our good friends the Melines.  The girls and boys had so much fun hanging out together.  We got to do all the rides we wanted plus a couple things we had never done.  It was a great grand finale!

We decided to watch the parade at our last time.  This is the second time the whole year we watched the parade.  Two times was more than enough parade for us. :)

We will definitley be back to the happiest place on earth.  We have so many fun memories of Disneyland.  Mac's favorite ride is Star Tours, Brad's favorite is Astro Blasters, Carly's favorite is the swings, Anna's favorite is Screamin', my and McKay's favorite is Soarin' over California and the family favorite is Radiator Springs Racers.  We actually all have lots of favorites!  We can't wait to go back!!! 

Halloween!

It was another great Halloween!  We started the morning with a parade at the school.  All the kids looked great.  After the parade the kids got to watch their principal kiss a pig because they met their jog-a-thon goal.  The class parties were awesome and it was basically a party all day long!

Mac and Brad were great cowboys!  Their favorite part was the guns.  By the end of trick-or-treating Brad had shed all of his costume but the gun.  I think they wanted to be cowboys just so they could have guns.

Pumpkin Patch!

We had a great time at Pete's Pumpkin Patch.  Anna's girl scout troop was going so we decided to go at the same time and get our pumpkins.  We hiked all the way up the big hill!  We came home with some great pumpkins!

Mac choose his right away but then decided he could find a better one so he wouldn't have to carry it around for so long.
