Mac is 5!

Mac started his birthday with a big birthday doughnut!  We divided it up into six pieces and it was tasty!  He opened some presents (Avenger squinkies, Star Wars characters, a slip and slide, and some play dough.)  After the doughnut we went to feed the goats and Underwood farm.  Mac and Brad LOVE to feed the goats.  Sometimes I buy more carrots than I know my family can eat just so we can go feed the goats rotting carrots!
In the afternoon we went to Silverstrand Beach.  It had been a fairly cold July so we were happy that it was 70.  The sun was out for most of the day but it was still a little chilly.  The water is FREEZING but the kids still got in.

High Adventure Trip

McKay looks forward to the high adventure trip every year!  This year they went to the Channel Islands and kayaked and explored.  They had lots of fun except they were a tad under dressed!  It can get quite cold out there.

Happy Birthday Mac!

Big Mac is FIVE! We had a fun party for his birthday with cousins.

Mac's dragon cake.

Mac got a new bike for his birthday!  He loved it!  He had grown out of his other bike (and Brad needed it!) Happy Birthday Mac!

July 4th

We had a great time at the ward pancake breakfast!  While everyone was cleaning up the girls started a water fight!  It wasn't the warmest morning so they were quite cold but they were good sports.  Mac even loved getting wet but Brad was NOT happy about getting wet.

In the afternoon we went swimming.  Carly, Mia Nelson, and Anna.

Brad and Ella Nelson in Brad's boat.  Brad got this boat and loved playing with it all summer!

Carly finally got up on her boogie board!

Later that night we went to the high school and watched the fireworks.  They put the fireworks to music so it is fun to be there and be close.  It was a great fourth of July!

Mormon Dodger Night

We have lots of fun every year at Mormon Night at Dodger Stadium.  We sat in the all-you-can-eat section and enjoyed our fill of hot dogs, nachos, peanuts, and soda!  We are up and down a lot during the game to get food and take people to the bathroom from drinking so much soda!  President Uchtdorf threw out the opening pitch.  The kids love hanging out with their friends and cousins.

The fireworks after are awesome as well.  So yes, we stay to the bitter end!  The Dodgers got blown away this game but it really doesn't make it any less fun.  See you next year!

San Deigo Zoo

Corrine and Alisa took Anna, Carly, and Lori to San Deigo  on the train and to the zoo down there.  They had so much fun!  It was quite an adventure for them to be gone from home for two nights but they were in good hands.  They enjoyed room service, swimming, sightseeing, and the zoo!  They are lucky girls to have such awesome aunts!

Mac got his face painted while the girls were gone.

St. George Fun!

Some of our favorite things to do in St. George:

Baseball

Celebrate my birthday! (love going on early morning runs with  anyone who will go!)

Swimming and sunning1

Water baseball is really fun too!  We had a wonderful time in St. George and the time went by too fast!  It was quite depressing driving away and coming back to California.  We can't wait for next year!
Rachel did another cute hairdo on the girls!  Can't wait until Brynlie has hair and can join in on the fun!

Minute to Win It!

We had lots of fun playing Minute to Win It! games in St. George.  The kids loved participating in all of the activities.

This one the winning team unrolled their whole roll of toilet paper first.  Brad was a little unsure of this but he hung in there!

When you are 4 it is cool to get wrapped up in toilet paper!

This game you had to sort the M&Ms by color into the right cup.

Travis and my Dad tried to stack three golf balls on top of each other.  Supposedly it can be done but we weren't successful - we are blaming the uneven table.

This game you had to put a cereal box front puzzle together.  Sydney beat Grandma!

This game you had to knock over 6 water bottles with your 'trunk.'

Everyone wanted in on the action on this game!  It was a really fun game and might make it back next year!
