The Performance

Grandpa and Grandma Thompsen were able to stay for the girl's performance. (Note: Anna is very adamant that it is not a recital it is a performance.) There were no tears this time! Anna was a licorice and Carly was a lollipop. They did a great job!

Carly was in a tap class with Avie and Lucy Garrett and Marissa Palma. Anna was in ballet class with Avie Garrett and Shailey Boman.

The two cuties!

Halloween!

The three kids posing before trick-or-treating. Mac didn't want anything to do with pictures or his costume!
Well it was another fun Halloween! This year we got to celebrate it with Grandma and Grandpa Thompsen! Here is Anna as Mulan, strutting her stuff at her Halloween Parade at school.

Lining up with the rest of her class before the parade.

Here is our other Mulan, Carly. She had a great time at her preschool party. They got to go trick-or-treating around the school and pick out pumpkins at the 'pumpkin patch.'

Our two Super Men! Mac would leave the costume on outside but wanted it off when we were inside.

Anna was a bride and Carly was a clown for Halloween night.

Anna playing a game at her class Halloween party. They got to make spiders and decorate cookies.

Her Kindergarten class.

After about an hour of trick-or-treating they were pooped and satisfied with the amount of candy they got. Here is the final loot!

The Pumpkin Patch

We had a great time with Emily and Riley in town and were able to go to Faulkner Farm's Pumpkin Patch. The kids had a great time! Mac was really excited to be out of the stroller and kept trying to lift all the huge pumpkins.
He was having a great time.

The Sunflower maze was in quite a sad state but it was fun nonetheless. Anna even decided to wear the same outfit she wore last year to the Pumpkin Patch. The girl remembers EVERYTHING!!!

On the hayride.

In the maze.

On top of the hay pyramid. Overall it was a wonderful day! Can't wait until next year.

Pumpkin Carving

We had lots of fun carving our pumpkins! The girls were even brave and helped us clean the guts out.

Name of the Day

In Kindergarten each day one of the kids is the 'name of the day.' Anna FINALLY got her turn last week. She was really excited and wore her crown the entire day. We went to our first parent teacher conference today and got a great report. According to her teacher she is very neat and organized and a little reserved socially, and a joy to have in class!

Carly's First Day of School

It's official! Carly is now back in preschool! She has had a great two days and looking forward to many fun times to come. Her favorite part so far is snack time because she has gotten grape juice - something she never gets at home. :)

Playing in the Rain

In between Saturday Sessions of General Conference we got to go outside and play in a very RARE California rain storm. The girls had a blast. Anna keeps asking me when it is going to rain so they can play outside again. A little more rain would definitely be nice...

Jog-a-thon

Anna got to participate in her first jog-a-thon. She was really excited. I was totally unaware of what was going to happen. I thought it would be a little more rigorous but they did a few stretches and ran a little then it was over! Stretching with her teacher Mrs. Celic.

Running some laps.
A class picture.
They had water bottles out for parents and other kids to squirt the runners. Carly thought this was great!

Like Father Like Son

McKay decided to have his Sunday nap a little early last Sunday... right during Sunday School! I wasn't there to witness it but a friend of ours took this picture with his cell phone (Thanks Tyler!) McKay claims he wasn't asleep for long but he sure looks comfy. It is hilarious that the people next to him are being so studious and he is KO'ed! Classic...
