Easter Sunday

I love Easter Sunday! I have to admit I was a little bummed I missed church but all for a good cause. :) The kids looked so cute and the girls loved their pink dresses and curly hair.

Luckily Grandma Thompsen came to help us out when Brad was born. We had lots of fun with her here. It happened to be spring break as well so the kids had A LOT of time to just play. We went to the duck pond and played at the playground.

Mac just wanted to eat his bread. That was ok though because the ducks were not very hungry. We did a victory dance everytime something of ours got eaten!

Easter Egg Hunt

Grandma Thompsen brought some candy for the kids so we threw an impromptu Easter Egg Hunt. The kids had a great time and I could check that off my list and not have kids asking me 100 times a day, "Mom, when are we going to have and Easter Egg Hunt?" It was great!!!

Mac even caught on after a few eggs!

B-Rad

Brad Man, Bradster, Big Bad Brad, Baby Brad, B-Rad is doing great! We are still coming up with nicknames for him. The kids love him. Mac is still a little unsure of him but is trying to play with him. I will find Mac's cars laying next to Brad or Mac will try to shove Brad's binki in Brad's mouth (and then put it in his mouth!)

Anna and Carly are great about holding him as long as he isn't crying. That kind of stresses them out if he is upset.

"Don't worry honey I'll take care of the baby." Brock (below) is already getting some good practice.

Brad Thompsen Barlow

Brad was born on Monday April 6, 2009 at 10:49 am. He was 7 lbs 14 oz and 20 inches long. Rachel was once again amazing during labor and delivery as the whole process was only a few hours.

Grandma Barlow was very helpful for the first few days and now Grandma Thompsen is here helping out. Rachel and I are very grateful for wonderful families and for the great support we have. We also have a great ward and wonderful friends who are already planning more help once the family is gone. Thank you so much to everyone!!

He Lives

We testify to each of you that He lives. We know Christ loves us and we know that because of Him, that only through Him, we can have Eternal Life. As a family we pray we will always remember Him.

Star of the Week

Anna was star of the week in school. She got to bring home Q Bear and write about her experiences with him - she informed me awhile ago that one of her friends took Q Bear to Disneyland, I told her we could take Q Bear to the park. :) She had a great week being star of the week and doing lots of fun stuff at school!I took a couple of pictures of her with Q Bear and after each one Mac would go stand where she had been standing and say 'cheese.' I had to include one of his cute pictures!

Crazy Hair Day

A couple of weeks ago was crazy hair day at Anna's school. I was trying to talk her into doing something crazy but she wasn't very open to the idea. She doesn't like any unnecessary attention drawn to her. Carly, however, thought the idea sounded wonderful and was very open to something different. After I did Carly's hair Anna decided she would do it. Here is the result. We called it the fish net.

Future Husband-in-Training

Mac is obsessed with the vacuum! He loves it! Unfortunately it weighs about 900 pounds so he has to put all his muscle into it. Anna put the pink scarf around him and Mac didn't seem to mind. Hopefully his love for vacuuming will continue into his teenage years.
