Brad is WAY into lions right now. He plays Lion King and Lions every chance he can. Mac plays with him a lot but doesn't quite share the same passion as Brad does. Since Mac and Brad have never been to the zoo we thought we should go. So while we were in Utah for Spring Break we took them to the Hogle Zoo. If you're wondering where the pictures are with the lions... THERE ARE NO LIONS AT THE HOGLE ZOO! Brad kept asking to go see the Lions. What kind of zoo doesn't have lions?!? It was quite disappointing but he'll never remember.

Even though there were no lions, the tigers were impressive. They were actually moving around and walking. They were huge and the kids thought they were great.

Grandma was nice enough to buy everyone a ride on the merry-go-round. Probably the highlight of every one's day!
Brad, of course, really wanted to go on the Lion. He waited and didn't go on when the other kids did just so he could have the lion. It was definitely worth the wait. He was so happy and had a big smile on his face the whole time. He called the Lion Mufasa and told Mufasa he loved him when he got off and gave him a hug. Brad told us for the rest of the trip how he got to ride on Mufasa. He didn't care anymore about seeing real lions. The fake one was good enough!
